Mathieu Tessier: Drums Began his training at 12 years of age, a precociously talented drummer. He honed his skills at McGill University and acquired his degree in jazz performance from the University of Montreal. He plays in varied
styles ranging from: jazz, blues, funk and pop. He worked with Gregory Charles and regularly plays with Pierre Lalonde as well as with the
David Marigarian Trio. A drummer in great demand, he made a stunning debut with
The Bassalindos. We hail the 2007 arrival of the newest little
Bassalindos and future drummer, Julien Tessier!
Mathieu Tessier : Batterie Il a entamé son appren-tissage vèrs 12 ans, poursuivant sa formation à l’Université McGill, complétant son baccalauréat de Musique en interprétation jazz à l’Université de Montréal. Le plus récent membre des Bassalindos, il évolue présentement au sein de divers groupes : jazz, blues, funk et pop en plus d’accompagner différents artistes. Il a travaille auprès de Gregory Charles et joue avec Pierre Lalonde ainsi qu’avec le trio David Margarian. Un batteur en grande demande, il a fait un début foudroyant avec Les Bassalindos.
